Reading an article about a processor yet to launch might be a bit boring so I request you to stay intact as I won't stretch this. Samsung has already announced its 1 GHz dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 and tagged it as Samsung Orion processor but we haven't seen much of its activity in real time since the announcement. Here at GadgetLite we try hard to cover every possible news from its birth to its death and henceforth we did keep a track of Samsung's new processor which was recently spotted in ARM Technology Conference last week.

"Consumers are demanding the full web experience without compromise while on the go," said Dojun Rhee, vice president of Marketing, System LSI Division, Samsung Electronics. "Given this trend, mobile device designers need an application processor platform that delivers superb multimedia performance, fast CPU processing speed, and abundant memory bandwidth. Samsung's newest dual core application processor chip is designed specifically to fulfill such stringent performance requirements while maintaining long battery life."

Though the Orion wasn't actually powering any gadgets around in the conference so we could not experience how the Samsung Orion will pump up the pixels like the company has been boasting around. Looks like we will have to wait for 2011 for the processor to actually be used in some of the gadgets.

The expected release of the iOS 4.2 has been delayed when it was set to release today. The update would work with the iPhone, iPod Touch, and the iPad. We don't know when the update will be actually released now because of a serious fault with the iPad's WiFi.

The iPad can connect but once connected you'd be unable to browse the internet, which makes having WiFi pointless. This new update may or may not have Airprint, we don't know yet and we won't find out for weeks or however long it takes Apple to fix the bug with the new update and iPad's.

Apple has to deal with this serious bug on the iPad with it's WiFi problems. So far we know that the iPhone, and iPod Touch all seem to work fine with the new 4.2 update from Apple. People are guessing that the update should come out just before Christmas.

Samsung hasn't officially announced but news has leaked that Samsung's next flagship smartphone might be launching in 2011 and as you might have guess by now it will run on Gingerbread. Android 3.0 (the so called gingerbread) will be the backbone operating system for Samsung's flagship device early next year and this could well be the base forstructuringAndroid 3.0 platform.

The design looks to be promising with the ultra sleek profile and a 4.5-inch WVGA sAMOLED2 which we assume will enhance the current display we see in Samsung smartphones. The smartphone will beequippedwith an eight megapixel camera which will be capable of recording videos at 1080 pixels. The smartphone will also have 14.4 Mbps HSPA support and 5.76 Mbps HSUPA support. Bluetooth 3.0 will enhance the bluetooth capabilities of this smartphone while 1.2 GHz of application processor will surely pump up the speed of this super phone.

The phone will beequippedwith a universal e-book reader for ebooks, newspapers and magazines and will come loaded with Google mobile services thus enhancing user experience.
