Recently, we posted the leaked pics of the LG's upcoming 3D smartphone, the LG Optimus 3D. Within few hours, LG confirmed that, the Optimus 3D will be announced at the MWC 2011 in Barcelona. According to LG, the company will unveil the LG Optimus 3D, the world's first 3D smartphone with a full 3D experience.

LG Optimus 3D will feature a dual-lens camera for 3D recording and a glasses-free LCD panel for 3D viewing. It also comes with different connectivity options such as HDMI and DLNA, which will allow you to easily share all your 3D contents with other DLNA enabled devices. Check out the press release below.

Last month, Motorola announced the Android powered Droid BIONIC smartphone at the CES 2011 in Las Vegas. This handset comes with a 4.3-inch qHD display, Dual-core 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 proccessor, 8 megapixel camera and so on. The price of this device was accidentally leaked by Amazon. According to Amazon, this handset will be available for just $149.99 with a 2 years service agreement.

Motorola Droid Bionic features a 4.3 inch touchscreen display with 540 x 960 pixels resolution, Android 2.2 (Froyo) OS, 1Ghz Dual-core Processor (NVIDIA Tegra 2), 4G connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 8 megapixel camera with autofocus and dual-LED flash, HD (720p) video recording, DLNA, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, microUSB 2.0, 512 MB RAM, 2 GB ROM, 3.5 mm audio jack, 16 GB internal storage, microSD card slot, 32 GB expandable memory, A-GPS, HDMI port and a 1930 mAh battery.

When we tested and reviewed the LG Optimus One last month, we weren't particularly impressed with its capabilities, but despite being in the same 'family', the recently leaked Optimus 3D Android shares very little in the way of genetic bond with its predecessor.

Likely to be revealed at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) later this month, Phandroid has acquired an image of what appears to be the LG Optimus 3D. Though yet to be officially unveiled, the handset is said to boast a 4.3-inch display, dual-core CPU, in particular (and the most exciting part) it will have a glasses-free 3D display � meaning you won't need to look like an idiot in order to see 3D. The report states that the Optiums 3D will use multi-channel RAM and from the photograph there's also a front-facing camera. LG will be holding a press event on February 14th, wonder what the event might be about?

AT&T is the largest provider of mobile telephony in USA. AT&T was exclusively offering the iPhone from last few years, but now Verizon is also offering it. iPhone is like a backbone of AT&T's smartphone line, and as Verizon is getting it too, I think that AT&T will lose a lot of customers. But according to a leaked screenshot above, AT&T is planning to launch 12 Android devices in 2011. They are already offering 7 devices, and it looks like AT&T is ready to bring some good Android devices. Motorola Atrix 4G is one of those devices, and its one powerful beast. AT&T is also launching the Inspire 4G, which is made by HTC and it is also a good phone. Hopefully, both phones will be available next month.

Well, I think AT&T is getting serious with Android, and now they are going to use Android as their shield. So folks I am sure that year 2011 will be very interesting for AT&T fans, especially who love Android. So tell us what you are thinking?

The Toshiba Dynabook has a monochromatic top which changes colours when you look at it. The colour of the laptop's top changes when you turn it, move it no matter the angle you look at it. Most laptops on the market today are in a couple standard colors, but Toshiba wanted to add some colour to the Dynabook Qosmio. The added colour to the top of the laptop changes nothing about performance, it's all for the looks and style. The top that changes colours and shimmers in the light is not paint, it's multiple film layers overlapping creating the colorful effect when you move it.

The Toshiba Dynabook Qosmio has decent hardware inside too, in it includes a 2.66GHz processor using Intel Core i5-480M, 4GB of DDR3 memory RAM, and a 15.6-inch 1366 x 768 display that is LED backlit.

Google and Samsung recently launched the Google Nexus S, which is a successor to the famous and beautiful Nexus One. It looks like Google is planning to launch Nexus S under AT&T branding, because a new device has showed up in the Bluetooth SIG product list, and the model number is GT-i9020A. As most of you may know, the original model number of the Nexus S is GT-i9020, and the one T-Mobile is offering is GT-i9020T. It seems that the "T" in the end represents T-Mobile, and the "A" in GT-i9020A is maybe representing AT&T. So it means that the device is headed to AT&T.

Mobilicity Canada also announced that they will launch the Nexus S soon as well as other major Canadian carriers will also launch it. As we know that Canadian carriers have the same 3G and GSM bands as AT&T, so that also suggests that the Nexus S will hit AT&T too. So folks, stay tuned because I am sure that Google and Samsung will clear the air soon!

When Sony unveiled the NGP and talked about its PlayStation Suite initiative for the first time earlier last week, you may remember that the publisher didn't use the magical word "exclusive" when describing the PSS' connection to Android. That was a deliberate move so it could keep the communication and creative channels open � a point that SCE CEO Kaz "Ridge Racer" Hirai talked around in a roundtable discussion after the event.

"We have a completely open stance. With carriers and with hand set makers," Hirai said according to Andriasang.com. "There are a variety of OSes," he said. "But we're focusing first on Android. There's also Windows, iOS and so forth, but we don't have the resources to make it compatible with everything from the start."

This is the NGP, FYI.

We speculated that Sony could bring PSS to iOS, and while this isn't anywhere near a confirmation, we're more aware now that Sony is willing to, at least, entertain the idea of doing so. But there are a few stumbling blocks.

First, all games that go through PSS will be certified by Sony and funneled through its own closed system, presumably similar to iTunes in theory. Apple, of course, already certifies its own stuff and has its own digital delivery system. I can't see Apple being fans of having a system on top of a system, so that's block one.

Block two is that devices that will use PSS will need to be PlayStation Certified. There are a billion Android handsets out there, so this helps Sony keep the amount of SKUs it needs to certify games for down (probably way, way down). It also gives Sony a measure of control over what needs to be on a phone. I can't see Apple playing ball with this either. Can you imagine a flip iPhone or iPod Touch that has a PlayStation d-pad? Yeah, me neither.

Still, this is interesting to hear from Hirai and we'll no doubt keep our eyes on this initiative as it blossoms into a beautiful flower. A lot of you, including me, don't think PSS will ever come to the iOS, but hey, we live in a world where a lot of crazier stuff has happened. Can you believe that, like, 300 Spartans kept an entire army at bay for a couple of days? Insane!

At CES 2011, Motorola officially announced the Motorola Atrix 4G, which is Motorola's first Tegra 2 powered device. The device is powerful as well as beautiful. Motorola recently launched a teaser video in which they called it the�Most Powerful Phone. There is no doubt in it that this device is brilliant, and the feature that blows our mind is the laptop dock. After connecting it with the Motorola laptop dock, it's the whole different experience.

Now Motorola has posted another promo video, in which you will see the Atrix 4G is running along with the laptop dock, and Motorola is also showing off some of the main features of the phone. So folks, check out the video after the break, and tell us that are you going to buy this device?

Developed by the scientists of the Institute of Robotoics and Mechatronics at the German Aerospace Center, this super strong robotic hand resembles much of that of the T-800 robot from the Terminator. Indeed, in some of the tests performed by its designers, it did prove to be just as strong and durable.

The DLR hand has the shape and size of a human hand, with five articulated fingers powered by a web of 38 tendons, each connected to an individual motor on the forearm.

The main capability that makes the DLR hand different from other robot hands is that it can control its stiffness. The motors can tension the tendons, allowing the hand to absorb violent shocks. In one test, the researchers hit the hand with a baseball bat�a 66 G impact. The hand survived.

Multiple rumors have been going around about Sony making a new "cloud" saving feature for Playstation plus users. The new update will possibly be coming in the next firmware update to 3.60.

The new "cloud saving" feature will save your game saves that you've worked hard on to another server or online location so that you are able to access all your game saves or information that you have saved from your hard drive onto another PS3 console or multiple consoles at one time. So if you're worried about your console or hard drive dying on you and you don't want to lose your game saves and media on your hard drive then you may possibly want to invest in PlayStation Plus to get this new game save feature.

As soon as cloud saving comes out your game saves will no longer be "locked" to your one and only game console or hard drive.

First impressions about the phone is that it is noticeably faster than any android device we have played with so far. The browser loads pages really fast. The menu operations don't have any lag.Although the handset is a bit plasticky , it does not feel cheap. We would have appreciated a complete metallic back panel instead of the small stretch in the middle.

Video recording at 1080p is something we are trying on a phone for the first time and we are totally excited about it.8 MP Camera for photos is cool but no camera key.

The display is frankly awesome to look at and use. The touch seems similar to the one we find on the iPhone 4. IPS technology perhaps ?

And before you ask about where you can get this phone ? It's about to go on sale in many countries soon. We got hold of an review unit from LG Mobile.

Apple has now been hiring college students to work for them. The job pays over $10 an hour and you get full benefits with Apple as well as a free iMac computer to work at home with. The job is to answer phone calls for Apple as a customer support person, they call them Apple At-home advisers.


The only requirements are you need to get this great job opportunity is a minimum 2.7 GPA, and to go to college at one of the schools that Apple currently supports. You will also need a strong technical background as well as the appropriate customer service skills.

All this information is listed on Apple's website as you can see here, you are also expected to work 16 hours per week while attending school and 40 hours each week during summer vacation time. When you graduate Apple may hire you for a full time job later, so it doesn't just end when you finish school. Unfortunately, currently the only schools that Apple supports are in the US.

Last June at WWDC, we spent some hands-on time with the then upcoming Alien Space from indie developer Owens Rodriguez. We really enjoyed the title even in its work-in-progress state, and were looking forward to its release later in the year. Then this past October, Alien Space [99�/Lite] finally launched a bit later than Owens had anticipated and it somehow slipped under our radar, though it has been highly praised by the members in our forums (nothing gets by them).

I've since spent a good amount of time with Alien Space, and can confirm that it is an incredibly solid dual-stick shooter. It features a 30 level campaign, a Survival mode, a suite of upgradeable weaponry, and incredibly intelligent enemy AI which makes for some frantic space battling. The real standout feature though is the absolutely spot-on controls that rival any of the other top dual-stick shooters in the App Store in terms of responsiveness. All of these factors combine in Alien Space to make for a great gaming experience.

At Macworld this year, I once again met up with Owens to discuss his current project which is an alternate version of Alien Space. This upcoming separate game will be a retro re-skin of sorts to the original game, though with at least one brand new game mode in addition to the Campaign and Survival modes.

Owens told me that he was a huge fan of the original Asteroids back in the day, and wasn't completely satisfied with the role that asteroids played in Alien Space. As such, the main focus for this new mode is to somehow base the gameplay more heavily around the asteroids that are floating around the galaxy. Additional modes, weapons, or enemies are also a possibility for the new game, though nothing is set in stone currently.

Here's a short video of the new retro-themed Alien Space. It's still in progress, so the explosions and some of the weapon effects haven't received the retro treatment yet, but it should give you an idea of the direction the game is going:

Owens is shooting to have this new Alien Space in the App Store by mid-to-late March, barring any sort of hang ups. If you haven't yet checked out the original game, it's currently on sale for 99� and there is a lite version to try as well. Look Again is actually a very clever idea for a game. The basic premise is that there are 12 designs bordering the screen and one image made up of 3 overlapped designs in the middle. The goal is to choose which of the 3 outside designs comprise the main image.

It's a simple idea but one I haven't seen used before. This video explains the gameplay in Look Again really well:

Smappsoft is hoping to have Look Again available within the next month. The core gameplay is complete, and they are just tweaking things like difficulty and the final amount of levels. Initially they are expecting to have at least 100 levels, and can change around the difficulty by having the center image comprised from 2-5 images or having the outer row of images do things like rotate, flip, and disappear. Game Center will be integrated as well for tracking achievements and high scores.

We'll take a closer look at Look Again when it becomes available sometime in the next month or so.

Designed for music production, the bi-amp 2-way powered speakers both have the middle soft dome speaker, and heat sink running on two different circuits which drive the sub woofer� and tweeter separately. The S-DJ08 has a large 8-inch woofer while the S-DJ05 has a reasonably smaller one at 5 inches.

Both of the speakers from Pioneer offer XLR, TRS and two sets of the RCA jacks to plug in to multiple different devices at one time. Last Thursday at Macworld 2011 I stopped by the booth for XMG Studio and had a chance to check out their latest game that should be releasing very soon. XMG is responsible for some incredibly popular titles on the App Store, like Drag Racer [$2.99/Free/HD], Little Metal Ball [$2.99/Free/HD], Cannon Cadets [99�/Free], and most recently Inspector Gadget's MAD Dash [99�/HD].

Their upcoming title is called Cows Vs. Aliens, and after spending some time playing it I think it has the potential to be another popular addition to their library. Cows Vs. Aliens is a casual title built on a super simple game mechanic. Waves of cows will spawn from the bottom of the screen, and it's your goal to herd them into the barn entrance at the top of the screen. Aliens will begin to show up in the herd, and you must scoot them off to the sides of the screen before they have a chance to get in your barn, in which case it's game over.

XMG is responsible for some incredibly popular titles on the App Store, like Drag Racer [$2.99/Free/HD], Little Metal Ball [$2.99/Free/HD], Cannon Cadets [99�/Free], and most recently Inspector Gadget's MAD Dash [99�/HD].

Aliens is a casual title built on a super simple game mechanic. Waves of cows will spawn from the bottom of the screen, and it's your goal to herd them into the barn entrance at the top of the screen. Aliens will begin to show up in the herd, and you must scoot them off to the sides of the screen before they have a chance to get in your barn, in which case it's game over.

Looks like Nokia is keeping up it's promise of launching the C5-03 in India within this quarter. Nokia C5-03 is already available in many retail shops in India. The handset runs on Symbian S60 5th Edition and supports 3G and WiFi and packs a 5 MP Camera . It seems like a successor to the 5800 in terms of specs.

The handset is selling for a price of Rs.9250 approx in the market and we expect an official announcement soon !� The company launched the X2-01 just recently and now we have this handset.

It was back in October that we began following the saga of Sarien.net, a retro Sierra adventure game portal setup by developer Martin Kool. In April 2009 his website began offering entirely web-based remakes of classic Sierra adventures, built entirely with HTML, CSS, and Javascript (though the project really began back in 2001 with a Sierra-inspired graphical chat client). Last year, Kool began creating versions of these web-based games with an interface and graphical treatment appropriate for the iPad and mobile Safari. The first iPad release to go online was Space Quest, which we previewed in November, followed by King's Quest and Leisure Suit Larry, earlier this month. These games were basically reverse engineered, ground-up remakes and were not licensed by Sierra. And, as such, last week's news of Sarien.net receiving a cease & desist letter from Sierra and closing its doors was sad, but not highly surprising.

It seems the Sarien.net story is not over, however. Kool has just revealed in a lengthy blog post that includes a fully history of the project that, in an unexpected turn of events, Activision has contacted him with a proposal offering limited official authorization to publish a subset of his remakes online.

Activision proposed to officially authorize Sarien.net to publish the first game of any series in its multiplayer HTML5 form. As it may generate interest in also playing the games' successors, Sarien.net will provide a link to Steam and other services that offer the full game collections. To me that sounds beyond "fair enough", and very reasonable. Also, as Activision may (or may not) choose to provide official releases of these games through the AppStore, they requested that all iPad versions of the games be removed.

Now even though it is based upon the same HTML5 technology I also find this request understandable, as I would probably have done the same if I were Activision. Then again, if I co-owned Activision instead of Q42, there might've been a World of Space Quest and worldwide free beers on Fridays, but right now this really is a huge step forward and allows games like Space Quest, Police Quest and King's Quest to be played by many people during work hours � err, I mean, in a browser.

And, so it seems that that Sarien.net and some of its web-based Sierra adventures will live on, though iPad gamers will not be enjoying the excellent custom treatment that they may be accustomed to � unless Sierra launches their own iOS versions of said classics. (Incidentally, the jury is still out on what will ultimately become of Leisure Suit Larry, as it seems Activision sold it to CodeMasters at some point in the past.)

Kool indicates that his first order of business is to restore Sarien.net to what it was (but with the approved list of games), with a redesign and additional functionality to follow. While it's less than we'd hope for as far as iPad adventurers are concerned, this is certainly good news for the gaming community in general. And we offer a "hats off" to Activision for their consideration to Sarien.net regarding these classics.
