Professional wrestling is fake, but it has one thing going for it: its steroid-engorged entertainment is unique content. The same can't be said for WWE Superstars Sling Shot [$1.99]. It's one of the most aggressive Angry Birds clones out there, substituting barrel-chested men for exotic birds, and steel girders and massive dumpsters in place of concrete slabs.

What makes it a recommendable purchase and soothes some of the scorn it deserves for copping from Rovio Mobile is, strangely, what sells the TV shows all those oddities of the brand that cut through the canvas-draped treachery: the stars, the attitude, and the sheer amount of content contained within.

I know it's hard to picture men built like Adonis catapulting themselves into elaborate objects composed of girders, trashcans, blocks of wood, and barrels, but this is exactly what the game has you do. Inside a themed ring, you take a WWE star, pull him into the ring's ropes, and then let him fly into a pile of stuff. The immediate goal is to obliterate the opposing wrestler contained within the pile. The larger goal and I kid you not here is to win the WWE championship belt by doing this across a bunch of events.

For the most part, the physics of the objects react like a meatier version of Angry Bird's physics; they're stiffer and tough like the man-beasts you're flinging. I find this layer of starch applied to the objects much more appealing, actually, and you might too if you're not a fan of the loosey-goosey stuff that goes on in Angry Birds.

The Big Show, HHH, John Cena, The Undertaker and other similar stars are indeed in Sling Shot, bringing their specific body types and attitudes to the man-versus-trash pile conflict presented within. Oddly, they don't have different attributes. The Big Show, for example, is a massive dude. You'd figure he would have more power than, say, a Rey Mysterio, who would undoubtedly be a high-flier with less dumpster-busting strength. Seems like an obvious direction to go in, right? I still, though, fall on the side that they're good additions regardless of this: at the very least, fans will get their fill.

All in all, there's over 100 different levels spread across 15 events, which is what really sells this game to me. Sure, there are some stinkers within the 130 or so levels, but the vast majority of the content is fun, and unlike Angry Birds, no luck is required. If you can hit where the weak spot on a given construction is, you can beat the level. Again, the physics here aren't as wonky; Sling Shot is predictable for the most part.

And updated and connected, too, showing that the WWE is at least trying to get behind the product for the long haul. I've got zero information on possible level-adding updates, but I can't imagine they're far behind: look at how much Rovio added to Angry Birds.

So, if you're a fan of WWE and its brand of muscle-bound entertainment or just a dude tweaking over the lack of Angry Birds content, I'd say go ahead and give this one a go. I dug it and I'm the kind of guy who often rolls his eyes at Angry Birds references. Just keep in mind that it's not the most original thing on the planet and its operating under a different set of physics rules. Also, the WWE didn't reinvent the wheel here; it just stuck a syringe in its axel and pumped the plunger.

It's starting to look like those of you who guessed that N.O.V.A. Elite was going to be a 100% multiplayer game when it was first announced just might be right, judging by the recently released gameplay trailer. Of course Gameloft could just be focusing on the multiplayer aspect of the game and it could come with a full single player campaign as well, but we'll have to wait and see.

Anyway, give the trailer a look:

What will be very interesting to see is how Gameloft prices this game if it is 100% multiplayer based. They've shown interest in dabbling in free to play games for a while now, and a game like this needs a vibrant online player base to be fun. There's no better way to get a massive pool of player than releasing a game for free. Sure, this is 110% speculation on my part, but you've got to admit it at least makes a little sense given how well ngmoco has done with Eliminate [Free] that Gameloft might try to do the same.

Either way, N.O.V.A. Elite is apparently "coming soon" which in Gameloft-speak could mean as early as next Thursday.

Remember the iCade? It was originally unveiled at CES earlier this year and promised to offer a classic arcade machine experience for your iPad. What made the whole thing even more interesting was that the iCade's creators, Ion, apparently had Atari onboard for the project as well. With the launch of Atari's Greatest Hits last week, it seems Atari has held up their end of the bargain, now all Ion needs to do is release the iCade.

It would appear all things are proceeding as planned for the launch of the iCade as 9to5Mac spotted the device sailing through the FCC approval process. Swing on by the FCC site to see all kinds of photos, and the iCade's manual which actually instructs owners of the device to go download Atari's Greatest Hits [Free] as part of the setup process.

If you want the $99 retro controller, there's two ways to get one- First off, you can head over to ThinkGeek where you can sign up to be notified for the device to be in stock. Alternatively, GameStop is offering pre-orders which seems like a better route than signing up for a mailing list if you want to get one when the iCade launches on 5/31.

galaxy-s2-benchmark

The Samsung Galaxy S2 has been benchmarked in Russia by Mobile-Reviews's Eldar and according to a screenshot posted by him the device shows an impressive score of 3053 in the Quadrant test.

It should be noted that this is the Benchmark for the 1.2 GHz version of the device. The Samsung Galaxy S2 is Samsung's first dual-core phone and packed a 1GHz processor at launch in Mobile World Congress 2011 in Barcelona this year. Recently Samsung confirmed that a 1.2 GHz version of the device would be launched in UK.

Forerunner wrist watches are not new but this latest addition to the popular Garmin series does come with some appealing features. The new Garmin watch, Forerunner 610 is the first to come with a touchscreen, instead of buttons.

The Forerunner 610 costs $350 and displays the distance and time elapsed in the same menu but also, the watch allows you to add other features such as heartrate. As you can see, the new Garmin watch is especially designed for serious runners. "Running with Forerunner 610 is like having a coach with you every step of the way," said Dan Bartel, Garmin's vice president.

Garmin has also included a new alert that brings the new Auto Lap and Auto Pause, and will keep you active during your run or walk session.

For those competitive athletes among you, the Forerunner 610 allows you to post your statistics onto the online Nike Running community, where performance can be compared with other runners who have the Forerunner as well. Producers have said that the touchscreen works in rain or sweat or even if the user wears gloves.

Papa Sangre [$4.99] studio Somethin' Else has a couple of projects in the works: Papa Sangre 2 and another audio-exclusive joint called "The Nightjar." The latter, it appears, has been submitted to Apple and is currently going through the certification process.

Word of both projects first surfaced, to my knowledge, in an Independent Online article dealing with the forthcoming emergence of 3D sound in all kinds of media, from books, to advertisements, and of course, games. It's in this article that this tantalizing bit of news can be gleaned: Nightjar is based in space.

Other details about Nightjar are hard to obtain and the game's official Twitter account isn't helping us to paint a clearer picture of the title. Tweets like "morale aboard this vessel is LOW," are commonplace and teasing something I can't understand.

Of note, this account is specifically called the Night Owl Computer. Sometimes, it spits out personal messages, as if the AI has self-actualized. "I am currently 13 mths 10 wks 26 days of knotted-light travel time from Earth (2381:099:2L)." This account also re-tweets messages from The Night Watch, a supposed escort vessel. Equally weird stuff there, but much more casual in tone.

So, at the moment, your guess about what the Nightjar is, is as good as ours. We're in contact with Somethin' Else about all of this, so hopefully we'll be able to give you some solid details in the near future. For right now, though, I guess we'll be playing this game alongside the developers. Anyone see anything important on these accounts? Or is this just all too vague to get a grasp on? I vote on the latter, but hey, I'm a meat head.

Recently we told you that Gartner is predicting that by 2015, Android operating system will be conquering the mobile market and WP7 will be runner-up. Now Gartner is back again with another chart in which they are predicting about tablets. We are in the beginning of 2011 and we have already seen a lot of tablets, so that's why we are calling 2011 year of tablets. A lot of manufacturers are planning to launch tablets this year and most of them are Android powered. So where do you think Android and iOS will stand in 2015 if we talk about tablets. Let's talk about it.

In 2010, iPad market share was 83.9% and now it's 68.7%. Anyone know the reason of this fall? If you are thinking its Android then you are right. In 2010, Android share was 14.2 and now it's 19.9. Other OS's are way too far from iOS and Android. If you are thinking that Android will beat iOS by 2015, then correct your facts because iOS will still lead but every year, its market share will drop gradually and probably by 2016 or 2017, Android will take it down. As you can see in the chart, Android market share is growing rapidly each year and it's getting close to iOS. So what I think is that Apple is going to face some hard time and they have to bring something which can kick Android out of the water, which is obviously not easy.

In 2010, only 17 million tablets were sold, and now Gartner is predicting that around 70 million tablets will be sold this year, and in 2012 it will cross 100 million and in 2015, it will touch 300 million.

Well folks, Gartner is just predicting and making some guesses. Most of the time their predictions are true, but not all the time. So let's wait and see.

So tablet fanatics out there, do you think that Gartner predictions are right?

Alright, so full disclosure here- Dragon's Den is a guilty pleasure of mine. If you haven't heard of it before (and understandably so), here's the format of the show in a nutshell: Aspiring entrepreneurs pitch their inventions, business ideas, and money-making schemes to a panel of venture capitalists (or "Dragons" as they're referred to). These pitches can be centralized around everything from an already successful business looking to take things to the next level, to barely functional prototypes, to simple patented ideas. The one thing these people share in common is they lack the funding and direction to (potentially) make their business wildly profitable.

What makes the show entertaining is the interaction between these entrepreneurs and the dragons sitting across from them and the negotiations they come to regarding what percentage of their business they're going to give up in exchange for the investment. Of course it's often even more amusing when entrepreneurs fail entirely and are ripped apart by the dragons.

The thing is, I have no clue how they're going to turn this show into a fun video game. On any level. From the look of the above teaser trailer, it seems as if you play the role of the dragons and decide what to invest in. If you haven't seen the show, watch this video and see if you can discern any potential gameplay elements from there.

Either way, I'm totally stoked for this game. I just hope I can play as Peter Jones or Theo Paphitis, because I'm going to make it rain.

Folks from Google are working hard on their popular web browser, their latest plans at Google have been trying to improve the security of Google Chrome with some new features and one of which is to try and warn you about downloading malicious files.

Although Chrome is one of the safest, its not the safest browser on the internet, it still doesn't offer proper protection against malicious files that users can easily find across the web. This new feature is an addition to Safe Browsing API that has been present since the early days of Chrome, and it will analyze files that you're downloading and it will give you a warning in case your file is infected with malware.

So far, this feature will only work with .exe files, and we would like to mention that it doesn't scan the files like an antivirus, instead this features relies on Google's Safe Browsing API black list of malicious websites, and if the .exe file comes from one of those sites, you'll get a proper warning.

Although this isn't the best solution, it will add additional security for not so tech-savvy Google Chrome users, we should expect to see this feature in the next stable release of Chrome.

The popular "irreverent trivia" game You Don't Know Jack is now available on the App Store for your iPhone/iPod touch [$2.99/Lite] or iPad [$4.99/Lite]. The series began back in 1995 on PC and has since seen a multitude of iterations across computers, game consoles, the web, physical board games, and even a short lived television show. The iOS version of You Don't Know Jack is based on the 2011 franchise reboot that hit major gaming consoles earlier this year.

If you're familiar with that version then you'll be instantly familiar with the game on iOS, and aside from a few missing features and no multiplayer mode it's a very competent mobile version of the console game. Even if you're completely unfamiliar with the series, You Don't Know Jack is a fun and intellectual trivia game mixed with silly pop culture references and humor.

Unlike previous games in the series that presented a random selection of questions, this version of You Don't Know Jack contains 20 different episodes each filled with 10 questions in a predetermined order. The first 5 questions in an episode are considered Round 1 and are worth face value. The next 5 are Round 2 and are worth double the points. After the 10 questions are completed, Round 3 consists of a special Jack Attack game before giving you your final score for the episode.

The majority of the questions in an episode are multiple choice with 1 correct answer and 3 that are incorrect, and the game has no problem using clever word play or trick questions in an effort to throw you off. You're given 20 seconds to pick an answer and are awarded cash based on how quickly you answer correctly, with a similar amount deducted for a wrong answer. There is no penalty for not answering at all.

During each episode, one of the questions takes the form of a "DisOrDat", where you're given 7 titles or phrases and must determine which of 2 completely different categories they belong in. For example, in one episode you're given 7 fancy sounding names and are asked to determine whether each one is the name of a luxury sports car or the name of a cajun cuisine. There's 30 seconds to complete all 7, where right answers earn you cash and wrong answers take some away, and any extra time on the clock gives you bonus money.

The final round of an episode consists of a Jack Attack. It starts by giving you a common theme for the round, then presents a word or phrase in the middle of the screen while other phrases zoom by above and below it. Your job is to tap the word or phrase that relates to the one in the middle as it zooms by. This round rewards you with huge payouts for correct answers as well as penalizes you heavily for wrong ones, and can really make or break your final score for an episode.

So up to this point, You Don't Know Jack is a fairly typical trivia game, albeit with pretty cleverly written questions. What really makes it stand out though is the excellent presentation. The "host" of the game Cookie Masterson, who has appeared in many of the previous games, has a great personality and makes a ton of hilarious (and often crude) jokes as well as pokes fun at you when you get a question wrong. There's also some silly intro animations for every question and a few other funny surprises, but the running dialogue from Cookie is what really makes the game what it is. This isn't a game you'll want to play with the sound off, as you'd be missing out on 90% of the enjoyment.

The 20 included episodes are far less than the console versions, and due to their linear nature there's not really much reason to replay them multiple times, but the developer seems keen on adding additional episodes and features in updates. There's also Game Center integration for unlocking achievements and tracking your scores for the initial play through of an episode, which adds a bit of replay value to the game. Hopefully multiplayer can be added at some point too, since playing trivia with friends is when a game like this is at its best, though it's still a really fun solo experience.

If you're already a fan of You Don't Know Jack, then chances are you bought and downloaded the iOS version the second you heard about it, and for the most part I think you'll be satisfied. It features completely new questions from the console versions and is surprisingly up to date with its references to current events, with questions involving Charlie Sheen, Liz Taylor, and everybody's favorite pop star Rebecca Black. If you aren't really familiar with the series but like trivia games, there's a lite version with 2 full episodes to check out first to see if it's up your alley. Players in our forums have been digging this one quite a bit, and for irreverent trivia on the go You Don't Know Jack is a solid pick up.

With the development of technology, we see all sorts of prosthetic devices introduced to help improve lives of the people that have lost their limbs, and today we have a more affordable and yet safer prosthetic arm that we want to show you.

What's so special about this arm is that it is designed by two undergraduate students from Ryerson University in Toronto, and although it's not the best looking and most advanced prosthetic arm on the market, it's one of the cheapest and safest there is. Unlike other prosthetic arms on the market, this one uses simple pneumatic pumps, valves, and a tank of compressed air for movement, and therefore it costs a lot less than the current prosthetic arms available on the market.

As for the safety, in order to use this device, no invasive surgery is required and no reconnection of nerves is needed. Instead, in order to control this arm, you just need to wear a special device on your head that sends impulses to the device itself.

So far, we don't know when we'll see this device or how much will it cost, but we can't wait to hear more.
