Yet another Android handset under Rs.10000 ! Aircel is launching the Huawei IDEOS running Android 2.2 in India for Rs.8499 as an introductory offer !

Specs include 3G, WiFi , WiFi Hotspot and Android 2.2 . Huawei announced the IDEOS back in September last year and it's finally hitting India.

Aircel will offer 2GB per month on Postpaid and the handset is available� at Aircel outlets and� The Mobile Store outlets.

Airtel launched 3G services in Bangalore today and we have some news about the plans and tariffs.

Activate 3G

First you have to send a SMS 3G to 121

You would get a reply from Airtel if your handset is compatible

We got back a message stating the tariff as Rs. 30p / 20kb and we were asked to confirm by sending 1 as a reply

Any 2G pack will be de-activated once you activate 3G

This looks like a pay as you go plan.

There is also another plan we heard in which you pay Rs. 650 as a monthly rental and get 1.25 GB free usage on 3G.

After that you pay for extra usage and max bill is Rs.2000 after which your speeds will drop to 128 Kbps

We've seen couple of NVIDIA powered Smartphones at CES this year but this news of a 3D version of the Tegra 2. Their dual-core Tegra 2 3D processors is said to power more smartphones that is going to launch later this year. So this is just not a single core processor technology, but this is an evolution which will change the way we use our smartphones. We might see devices with this processor by spring.

From the leaked MWC 2011 slides its understood that� Tegra 2 3D is clocked at 1.2GHz and its on a Dual Cortex A9 architecture. So some of the devices which are planned for Spring launch would have already been mated with this processor. So year ahead looks interesting and exciting too.

So Android, iOS devices might cope up to adopt this technology. Am sure lot of Android phone manufacturers would have already started working on their protos powered with this 3D processor. Not sure if Apple is working on something like this in parallel.

Movies, games and apps will have unlimited possibilities now. Its what they do with it. And how the end user is visually satisfied!

2011 is going to be one of the important year in the world of technology. Mark it!

Airtel has finally launched it's 3G services and decided to launch it in an event in Bangalore as we reported earlier.The main reason Airtel launched 3G first in Karnataka is because this circle is Airtel's largest circle by revenue market share. The company plans to launch 3G services in all the 13 circles it won a license by March 2011

Sanjay Kapoor, CEO � Bharti airtel said, "It is indeed the start of a new era when 3G services in India roll out on airtel's network. World over 'Data traffic' on the back of high speed internet and use of social networking has already exceeded the 'Voice traffic'. India is ushering in the domain � though later than most of the world � but no doubt we will catch up at a much faster speed. 3G is much more than a technology migration � it is a transformational shift � and airtel's focus would be to bring to its customers an enriched user experience on the back of a world class delivery network. I welcome all 745 million mobile customers of the country to be a part of this journey with airtel!"

Airtel has deployed a HSPA network for offering 3G services and one can expect speeds upto 21 Mbps.

Regarding tariffs , there will be both time-based plans which are billed per hour and flexi-shield plans for heavy users.
