Samsung to Announce 8.9? Tablet Next Month

At the MWC (Mobile World Congress) in Fira, Barcelona last week, Samsung announced the Galaxy Tab 10.1. They justified the naming scheme by stating that they are planning to release tablets of different sizes in order to meet the needs of different consumers.

It seems that now Samsung is getting ready to announce it's next tablet which has an 8.9? screen. It would be positioned between the original Galaxy Tab and the new Tab 10.1.

No details of the device is available apart from the fact that it is expected to run Android 3.0 Honeycomb. We also haven't received any news on the successor to the original Galaxy Tab.

We will keep you informed if we get any more info.

Microsoft Windows Phone 7 Real Time Ads

Microsoft will be airing real time advertisements online in order to promote their Windows Phone 7 OS.

The sole purpose of the advertisements is to compare Windows 7 smartphones to rivals and see which does a faster job.

There are basically four challenges that the Windows Phone and your phone is required to complete:

  • From photo to Facebook
  • Check XBox Achievements
  • Tell colleagues you're late
  • Get directions home

The challenges are done in real time hence the name and it helps you compare it to your phone. The video is quite entertaining as well.

Intel Medfield Based Devices to Launch in Q3 2011

Sources say that mobile phones powered by Intel's new Medfield processors are likely to hit the market as early as Q3 of 2011.

Intel has reportedly increased the testing of their processors to end ARM's processor reign in the mobile phone segment.

Intel claim that their processor will beat ARM in terms of power efficiency. AAVA Mobile has been showing prototypes of phones with the new 32nm processors.

Intel also hopes to make use of the acquisition of Infineon to improve their mobile phones and tablets.

Hackers have found a way to &#39;unban&#39; themselves from PSN

You've probably heard or read that Sony is threatening to ban hackers from PlayStation Network, but this doesn't mean that Sony has won the battle. It seems that hackers have already found a way to 'unban' themselves and gain access to PlayStation Network once again.


After Sony announced that it will ban players that use jailbreak tools or run pirated games, it didn't take long for hackers to find a solution to avoid getting banned or even unban themselves. It seems that the hacking community has a new tool that can allow hackers to remove ban from their consoles or even ban other consoles, and in order to that, only thing that hackers need are console ID's.

As you can see, with this tool hackers will be able to unban themselves, and this means that Sony will continue to play hide and seek with hackers again. This new tool isn't a perfect solution, but it works, so we'll have to wait and see what will Sony do about it.
