HTC Event on April 12 , new devices ?

When HTC launched new devices at MWC, we were expecting that they will also launch the HTC Pyramid, which is a dual-core phone and comes with some good features. Then CTIA came but still no sign of it but now it looks like they are getting ready to launch it because they are holding a press event in London,UK on 12 April.

Rumor has it that HTC will launch the HTC Pyramid along with few other devices. As we heard previously that they are planning to launch Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablets this year. So it might be possible that they will also introduce new tablets. It's not necessary that the mobile giant will only introduce Android devices. There is a chance that they will also launch WP7 powered phone(s). Few days ago, HTC France told us that HTC EVO 3D is coming to their country, so may be HTC will also bring the EVO 3D to UK.

FoneArena should be at the event to bring you coverage of the the shiny new HTC devices. So folks, are you excited about new HTC devices ?

Gameloft Announces &#39;N.O.V.A. Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance Elite&#39;

Recently Gameloft announced yet another upcoming title on their Facebook page. In the wake of N.O.V.A. [$4.99 / Lite / HD] and N.O.V.A. 2 [$6.99 / Lite / HD] comes N.O.V.A. � Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance Elite. Aside from the following promo image, that's all we know right now.

Now, even though Gameloft is being incredibly vague with details currently, we can likely make a few semi-safe assumptions here. First off, Gameloft never shows off games that aren't at least somewhat close to being released, so it seems unlikely that we'll be waiting that long for this game. Also, last month Gameloft announced that they will be using the Unreal Engine in the future. Given that the N.O.V.A. series is one of their more popular franchises, it seems reasonable that Elite might be one of the first Gameloft UE3 games.

We'll just have to wait to find out!

New Android K-Touch phone just for China

A new Android device will be launched in the coming month, its known as the K-Touch W700 and is powered by NVIDIA's dual-core Tegra 2 processor. The K-Touch W700 runs on Android 2.2, and features a 3.8 inch touchscreen with a relatively low resolution of 480�800 and two cameras, the back camera is a five megapixel camera with 720p video recording and at the front it has a 0.3 megapixel camera for video chat.

The phone's design is modern and features a metal casing, besides all the features listed above the phone has got 8 GB of internal memory, support for GPS/A-GPS, bluetooth and WiFi connectivity, FM tuner,� microSD card slot, digital compass, accelerometer and ambient light sensor.

From the information that we now have it seems that this phone will be available just for the Chinese market and it will be released in mid-April.

Nevertheless, this phone looks like a big step forward for the Chinese phone manufacturers.

Add &#39;Dungeon Defenders: First Wave&#39; To Your List of iPad 2 Optimized Games

If you're one of the millions of people out there who have found themselves gingerly stroking their new iPad 2's lately waiting for some more games to truly unleash the beast on, today is your lucky day. The guys from Trendy Entertainment dropped us a note and let us know that Dungeon Defenders: First Wave now fully takes advantage of everything the iPad 2 has to offer. All you've got to do is download the latest version of Dungeon Defenders and turn the somewhat confusingly named "video upscale percentage" slider all the way up.

Doing so makes Dungeon Defenders look and play like this:

It might be a little hard to see in the video, but the difference is insane. Performance on the original iPad was always lackluster (to put it kindly) and it's crazy to see what a difference the iPad 2 hardware makes. Unfortunately, all of our original criticisms of the game's UI still stands, and even though it performs substantially better, it's still incredibly clunky to play due to the incredibly complicated on-screen interface.

Regardless, the game is on sale for a buck for the next few days so if you're looking for something to try on your iPad 2 or have just been looking to check out Dungeon Defenders, now is as good of a time as any.
