We just told you about Airtel launching it's website for 3G services and you can see Apple iPad in the list of devices in the 3G Compatibility check. Is that an indication that the iPad 3G Version is launching in India to coincide with the 3G rollout ?

If you pick the iPad from the dropdown , it says that the device is based on WCDMA and that it's recommended to use a HSPA based device for higher speeds.

We told you about Airtel offering microSIM cards last month, so those SIM cards might be for either the iPad 3G or iPhone 4.

Thanks to Samrat for spotting this !

The License Fee has been paid by the auction winners and government has allotted the 3G spectrum to the operators. Now Airtel's website is displaying details about 3G services . No pricing or launch date info is available but it seems like material used to educate users about the benefits of 3G. Airtel has won the bid for 13 circles in India Delhi , Mumbai , AP, Karnataka , Tamilnadu, UP West, Rajasthan, W.B, Himachal Pradesh,Bihar , Assam , North East and Jammu & Kashmir. There is also indication that Airtel might be offering HSPA speeds which translates to around 21 Mbps download speeds !

There is also a form which lets you stay up to date about the launch of the 3G services. Regarding the charges and launch date here is what Airtel says

We will inform all our customers about the activation process of 3G, it's availability in your area, charges etc. as soon as we launch our 3G services. You will also be able to access all this information on airtel.in/airtel3g

You can also check if your current handset is compatible with 3G networks. Airtel is saying that you wont need a new SIM card to activate 3G services and you can get 3G on your existing number

South Korea is home to Samsung, and Samsung is bringing a new device to S.Korea. Samsung has launched a new device in S.Korea which is known as the Samsung Galaxy K. As you can see the image above, the phone is identical to Samsung Galaxy S, and the only difference between Galaxy S and Galaxy K is that the Galaxy K comes with Android 2.2, which means you can enjoy the Flash 10.1 on it. The phone comes with the same 3.7 inch AMOLED touchscreen and 1GHz Hummingbird processor. The phones also comes with 8 GB internal memory, WiFi, and Bluetooth. Samsung Galaxy K is going for 800,000 Won ($716) on South Korea KT. I don't know what is the point of this device, because in few months Samsung Galaxy S will be upgraded to Android 2.2. What do you people think?
