Kinect is here, and despite its success, we're more interested in Kinect's technology underneath, its hacks and modifications than the games it plays. Today you'll see how you can you use your Kinect with your PC and play games with Kinect as your controller.

USC Institute for Creative Technologies has developed a special toolkit known as Flexible Action and Articulated Toolkit (FAAST). With this technology, you can map 20 different motions to keyboard buttons, and by performing certain movements, you'll be triggering the keyboard keys and certain actions in the game. Folks from USC Institute have demonstrated this in World of Warcraft and we can say that results are impressive.

We have to noticed that FAAST is currently in version .03, and it won't replace standard gaming equipment, but it's a project that is definitely worth checking out.
