Hardware/Design :
X3-02 is super sleek and slim with a plastic body and metal battery cover. The phone comes with 240 x 320 px 2.4 inch resistive touchscreen display.
The T9 keypad comes with four row keypad .� The first row has shortcuts like call and end key, message key and music player key.
The metal cover on the back of the phone holds the 840 mAh Li-Ion battery and slots for SIM and microSD card.
The 5MP camera at the back serves as a decent camera for your pictures. The speaker is at the bottom of the phone. The 3.5mm jack and USB port are placed at the top of the phone. The right side of the phone comes with volume rocker and lock key. The phone supports charging through USB and default compact charger.
Software:
The X3-02 comes with S40 6th edition FP1 UI which supports both touch input and hardware input. Nokia removed the directional keypad and made all movements in the UI touch optimized.
X3-02 has a customizable homescreen. The� Goto� button in the left opens a grid view of shortcuts. The left and right hotkey options are customizable too.
Music Player and Radio :
The music player supports formats like AAC, MP3, MP4, NRT, True tones, WAV and WMA. The music player comes with equalizer with presets like Rock, Pop, Jazz and Classical and two customizable presets.
The Radio with RDS auto tunes the radio stations. The stations could also be set manually by selecting the frequency. The shortcut key for music next to messaging key controls both music and radio. This does not open music player or radio but only shows few option like play/ pause and skip to next or previous tracks / radio stations.
Messaging and Chat:
The message app holds SMS , MMS and Email. The message editor consists of four touch controls such as directional keys, symbols and case switching. The mail also can be easily configured and it works with POP3, SMTP, and IMAP4 protocols and supports multiple email accounts. Inbuilt chat app supports common Instant Messengers like Yahoo, Gtalk, Ovi and MSN.
Connectivity and Browser:
The X3-02 comes with 3G and WiFi support which makes the browsing smoother. The X3-02 comes with both Nokia browser and Opera Mini. The default browser is a Open source webkit browser with WAP 2.0 and Flash Lite 3.0 support.
Camera :
Nokia X3-02 sports a 5MP full focus cam which take snaps at 2592 x 1944 with 4x digital zoom support and shoots video in 640*480 at 18fps. Have a look at the camera samples below.
