Apple has recently announced an update for their Time Capsule with the introduction of a new 2TB model and a 3TB one, thus replacing the 1TB and 2TB models. The prices remain the same, $299 for the 2TB model and $499 for the 3TB. Another improvement in this device is a new technology that dissipates heat more efficiently than previous models. Another improvement is a new low power consumption hard drive and a new firmware that allows the hard drive to read and to write a lot faster.

Besides the updated Time capsule, Apple has also updated their Airport Extreme device. So what does this the update bring to the table? Well, this device now has an improved signal strength due to the six internal antennas, compared to the three which the previous model had. Again, it's the same price at $179.

So far this is all that we know about these updates as Apple haven't released much information regarding them but as soon as something new comes up we shall keep you posted.
