Earlier this year, Motorola announced the powerful Motorola Atrix 4G smartphone with 1 Ghz dual-core processor. This handset is available exclusively for AT&T customers in the US. The Motorola Atrix 4G originally runs on the old Android 2.2 (Froyo) Operating System. But Motorola has promised that, the device will soon get the Android 2.3 update. We have a good news for the Atrix 4G users. Motorola has finally rolled out the Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) update for the Atrix 4G smartphone.

The Android Gingerbread update for Atrix 4G bring some new features such as enhancements to the Picture Gallery and Music Player, updated User Interface with simpler home screen design, access to social content in one place, Full HD Video Playback in 1080p, One touch conference call access, Faster Webtop Browsing and much more.

The new software version of the device after the update will be v4.5.91. This update is available via. Over-The-Air (OTA) or you can also update it manually. The users will be automatically notified as soon as the update is available for their device. Before updating the device, you should back up all your data and make sure that your phone is at least 50% charged and you have an active SIM card installed in your phone.
