Though not yet outed, still the Distagon T* 35mm f/1.4 by Carl Zeiss has been made public at Photokina and it has surely gathered the necessary media attention. The company says that it plans to launch the Distagon T* 35mm f/1.4 in the first quarter of 2011. The Distagon T* 35mm f/1.4 is said to be a premium manual focus 11 element lens.

The newly designed Distagon T* 35mm f/1.4 from Carl Zeiss has been custom made for Canon as well as Nikon mounts. It will be made available on ZF.2 (which is Nikon F mount) and ZE (which is Canon EF). The new lens weigh 29/30 oz and is over 4.8 inches long in size.

The real size can depend on the mount that is being used as ZF.2 comes with aperture ring while the Canon ZE version has no aperture ring. One will have to agree that Distagon T* 35mm f/1.4 perfectly compliments the 85 mm f/1.4.

Along with the Distagon launch Zeiss has also come up with new filters and camera straps in Photokina 2010. The camera straps can surely attract photographers who love to continue the brand consistency and show of their branded items.
