As you probably remember, Google decided to do some charity work for this holiday, so it has released Chrome for a Cause extension for its popular browser Chrome. This event took only a few days and the results are in. Let's check them up.

With Chrome for a Cause extension app, it�allows you to determine for which cause and how much money will be donated by just opening your tabs in Google Chrome. We hope that you had �participated in this event, 60,599,541 tabs were opened during this event, and million dollars were donated to the charity. According to Google, 245, 278 trees were planted in Atlantic Forest, one of the world's endangered tropical forests. 11,640 people from developing nations got their one�year supply of clean water, and 11,208 square feets of shelter was built for impoverished families in Latin America. Also, 106, 934 vaccinations against meningitis were sent to Africa, and 142, 518 books were donated to schools and libraries across Asia and Africa.

It seems that Google's action was a success, and I hope that you had participated and�had given�your contribute in this event as well.
