LG has some confident words to say about its own Android-tablet to be released in the fourth quarter of this year. The tablet effort, to be branded as part of the Optimus line, will take a different path than the rival iPad tablet. According to LGs vice president of marketing for mobile devices Chang Ma says Our tablet will be better than the iPad. According to Ma, Its going to be surprisingly productive.

How LG intends to leverage Android to create a consumer-oriented tablet geared towards productivity is unknown. There are a number of document viewers and editors on Android, along with a growing app store, and it is yet to be seen how LG will approach this market.
