Though almost every camera has its own built-in flash yet when it comes to professional photography then every experienced photographer will understand that using the built-in flash of any camera is like killing the real life of the final image.

This is why professional photographers use custom flash which is often referred to as flashguns. Recently at Photokina we've been enjoying the launch of plenty of camera acessories but no brand have launched any new flashguns.
The three new flashguns launched by Photokina are 24 AF-1, 36 AF-5 and 44 AF-1. The 24 AF-1 flashgun will cost you around 70 Euros and must be used with mirror-less cameras. The 24 AF-1 Mecablitz flashgun has been fine tuned for Panasonic, Olympus, Nikon, Canon, Pentax and Sony cameras.

The more pricier 36 AF-5 will cost you around 1000 Euros and comes integrated with wide panel. One more useful feature of the compact flashes are that they come up with manually adjustable zoom reflector. Once you adjust the focal length of of reflector to different positions (like 28/50/85 mm) then the illumination angle of 36 AF-5 is optimal.

The 44 AF-1 is slightly more expensive than 36 AF-5 and offers high power intervention in light requirements while clicking photographs.
