A while ago, we wrote about Wafaa Bilal, professor from New Your University that wants to put a camera implant in his head. Recent news shows that Wafaa Bilal managed to do that, so let's have a look how does his camera work.
This is all a part of a project called The 3rd I, and as you know it should take pictures in one minute intervals. Pictures taken by this camera will be available both online and in a museum, as a part of an exhibit. This camera is a removable device that attaches to the titanium plate that is implanted at the back of his head, and in order to work, Wafaa has to connect it with a cable to a computer that he carries at all times.
Some people, especially students, are concerned about their privacy regarding this project, therefore Wafaa has to put a lens cap while he's in a classroom. Although this might be an interesting exhibit, would you ever go this far for sake of art?
