Just hours ahead of today's Apple event where it has already been confirmed that the next generation iPad 2 will be launched comes a mock up of what the said device may look like.

The images which have come from the Chinese site DGtle are so realistic that they look like the real deal. One thing is for sure, the mock ups have been made using the so far rumoured new features.

As you can see in the gallery, the iPad 2 appears much thinner than the current iPad, and uses tapered edges, similar to those on the iPod Touch 4G. The back is completely flat and there's a wide speaker grille on the bottom for enhanced audio, a rear and front facing camera.

In addition, there's a slot opposite the volume and mute buttons.
