We told you last month that Sprint will be launching the first ever Honeycomb tablet known as Motorola XOOM, and at the moment it's available at Verizon Wireless and several retailers in USA. Today, Sprint officially announced the Motorola XOOM which is coming out on May 8th for $599. Only bad news is that the tablet is neither 3G nor 4G, it's Wi-Fi only tablet. So only Wi-Fi is bad news for people who were looking forward to a 4G tablet, but don't worry because rumors are on the street that Sprint will launch the 4G version of Motorola XOOM, so Sprint users will be able to use Sprint's fast WiMax soon.

Motorola XOOM comes with 1 GHz dual-core Tegra 2 processor which is blazing fast, Android 3.0 Honeycomb, 5 MP camera with flash and HD video recording, 2 MP front-facing camera for video chat, 1 GB internal display andit can be expanded up to 32GB with microSD card, and a 10.1-inch touchscreen display.

So Sprint users, are you buying the Motorola XOOM next week? Check out the press release after the break.
