Google has successfully launched Google Maps for Mobile 5 which will boast of dynamic map drawing and offline mode for those who happen to get disconnected from the Internet more often. With the launch of updated Google Maps people will be able to enjoy the 3D version of the urban scene around them instead of the older style Google Maps.

The Google Maps for Mobile 5 waspreviewedat D: Dive into Mobile conferenceand it has surely been appreciated by the critics. The biggest change that the upcoming Google Maps for Mobile 5 has is the dynamic drawing which will render images on the fly without any hiccups that the older versions of Google Maps used to face. The images will be 3D instead of flatter versions and will cover over 100 cities initially which is surely a bit start.

The storage of the 3D vectors will be much smaller when compared to flat images thus this will also help in caching of images that comes in handy during offline modes. Connections will be required for altering the routes though already re-routed paths will be picked up from the offline cache.
