Google and Samsung yesterday launched the much awaited Nexus S smartphone. It is the world's first handset to feature the Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS. This handset will be available later this month in the US and UK. Nexus S features a 4 inch Super AMOLED display, but in Russia, this handset is expected to come with a 4 inch Super Clear LCD display.

According to Samsung Russia, the powerful Nexus will feature a Super Clear LCD display in Russia instead of the Super AMOLED display. The Super Clear LCD display is currently being used in Bada OS powered Samsung Wave II.

Google Nexus will be available from February 2011 in Russia. The price of this handset is not yet announced for the Russian market.
