We know about the Blackberry OS 6 very well, it's a new operating system launched by Blackberry a few months ago, and it's currently available on AT&T Blackberry Torch. Other Blackberry users are also looking forward to OS 6, specially the Bold 9700 users on T-Mobile. GizmoFusion is reporting that T-Mobile is currently testing OS 6 for Bold 9700, and RIM has already confirmed that Bold 9700 will get OS 6 for sure, so the rumor might be true. No words on when the update is coming out, but if it's true then we'll see it next month, so stay tuned !

A few hours ago, we show you a shot of a Blackberry phone (image above), which BerryReview was claiming that it's the Blackberry Storm 3, but now BGR is reporting that this phone is not the Blackberry Storm 3. They are reporting that they have seen the phone and their multiple sources are telling them about it . The Blackberry Storm 3 is a little different from Storm 2, BGR also said that they first thought that their guy is showing them the same device, which means that the device is almost similar to the Storm 2 in design, Storm 3 is a bit slimmer and light in weight though. The device features a 5 MP camera, but it's not 100% confirm yet. Other features are Blackberry OS 6, 512 MB RAM, and the same SurePress touchscreen display which is on Storm 2, and may be there's a Mobile Hotspot feature in the phone too. Is that all the improvements in the upcoming Storm 3? Other manufactures are working hard to improve their design, specifications, features, user interface, and other things, but I think RIM is not interested in it, they just want to add some new features in the same device, and launching it as a new one. I hope that by the time passes, RIM will make some good improvements in the Blackberry Storm 3, so then it can compete with phones like Droid X, iPhone 4, and EPIC 4G. So folks, are you going to get the Blackberry Storm 3 from Verizon, which is almost similar to the Storm 2?

""NimbleBit's Pocket Frogs [Free] has taken both our forums and the App Store by storm. Since its release less than a week ago, the game has been downloaded over half a million times, and currently is sitting at #1 on the iPad free charts and #3 on the iPhone free charts. Aside from the main Pocket Frogs thread, we've also got incredibly active threads on our forums both for finding friends and trading frogs. We loved the game in our review, and if you haven't yet, you really need to download it to give breeding your own colony of cute little frogs a try.

The 1.0.1 update was just approved and is currently available for download. This update addresses quite a few bugs and other issues that people have been reporting in our forums since the game's release. If you've had weird issues with missing frogs, all those problems have been fixed. Also, help text has been tweaked to make things clearer for new players.

NimbleBit isn't stopping there though, they're hard at work on additional updates for Pocket Frogs which will include a new frog design as well as fulfilling one of their most requested features by implementing a "Frogedex". (Similar to a Pokedex in Pokemon games.) The Frogedex will show every frog available in the game, as well as which of those frogs you have come across. Something to keep in mind though, with 13,800 available frogs currently (and 14,720 after the update), it's going to take some serious dedication to breed them all.

"" ""

We haven't heard any specific release dates for the Frogedex update other than sometime in between "soon" and "when it's done", but looking at NimbleBit's track records with their other games, they've been pretty quick with updates. In the meantime, if you have suggestions regarding features and additions for future updates, swing by the thread where the developers have been actively posting since the game's release.

John Kooistra originally released Blue Defense! [$1.99] back in late 2008 and the game was both well received by our forum members as well as in our actual review. Since then, Kooistra formed Cat In a Box Games which went on to develop both Red Conquest! [$3.99] and Fastar! [$1.99], two games we also enjoyed quite a bit. Their next project was revealed this afternoon, a sequel to Blue Defense!, entitled Blue Defense: Second Wave!.

The Second Wave will be hitting the App Store on September 30th and is absolutely packed with content including 74 different mode-based leaderboards, Retina Display graphics, new enemies, and new controls. This is a sequel I can't wait to play, and we'll post a review as soon as we get our hands on the game.

Samsung Galaxy Tab is one of the most anticipated and hottest device available in the market. People can't wait for the Galaxy Tab to hit the shelves, so they can get their hands on it. Samsung posted a promo video of Samsung Galaxy Tab on Youtube, which will tell you nothing new but will show you how you can use the Galaxy Tab in your life, and how it can fit with anything you want. I love the video, and the video made me to start thinking about the Samsung Galaxy Tab even more. The thing is mind blowing, want to see it? Then have a look on the video after the break, and don't forget to share your thoughts !

""Earlier this month we took a look at Neuroshima Hex [$2.99], the iPhone adaptation of a strategy-heavy boardgame based in the Neuroshima universe. This game world straddles several sci-fi cliches and includes things like nuclear war, a sentient robotic revolt, mutants, humans doing whatever they can to survive, and even somewhat intelligent carnivorous plant life. Adapted from the tabletop Neuroshima game, Neuroshima Hex features four of the main factions and is fast-paced enough that calling it an "action" board game seems appropriate.

Like many strategy games with unique rulesets, Neuroshima Hex is fairly complicated. Playing the game involves selecting one of the four factions, each with their own strengths and weaknesses, then playing with a 35 tile "deck". Players start by placing their headquarters on the game board, and the rest of the game revolves around attacking the enemy HQ while defending your own utilizing the tiles you draw at the start of your turn. Your deck of tiles consists of three different types, tiles that contain different types of units, modules which buff those units, and instant action tiles that do things like destroy or slide a unit, or even initiate combat.

""

The issue with all this is that the learning curve of the game is less of a curve and more of a wall, as the developers didn't do much to make the game approachable to newbies aside from including a brief tutorial video. There is a help section in the game, but is isn't convenient at all to refer to while you're actually playing. Once you get a hang of strategically using your hex tiles to attack the opponent as well as deal with their threats on the game board Neuroshima Hex is a lot of fun… But as suggested in the thread in our forums getting there requires reading additional material on the game or even printing out a quick reference guide PDF.

In comparison, Carcassonne [$4.99] features a fully interactive voiced over tutorial that did an absolutely fantastic job at introducing new players to the game. Carcassonne is also host to some great online multiplayer options while Neuroshima Hex only comes with single device multiplayer. Thankfully, the developers have posted in our forums acknowledging these issues and plan on addressing them in the future.

Neuroshima Hex is a fun fast paced strategy game, and if you already know how to play, you'll likely have a great time jumping right in to this iPhone port. If you're intrigued by hex grid strategy games, and this is the first you've heard of Neuroshima Hex, just be aware that you've got quite a bit of work in front of you as you climb the steep learning curve.

Nokia is good in two things, making good devices and delaying them. I have a bad news for folks who are currently looking forward to the Nokia N8. Engadget is reporting that Nokia is delaying the device for a few weeks, and they will launch it in early October instead of launching it in last week of September. The reason of delaying is that Nokia want to make some final amendments to the N8. So folks hopefully we will see the N8 in the first weeks of October. Have a look on the full statement:

"The amount of preorders has exceeded our expectations and we are working hard to deliver the Nokia N8 to the market. In some markets, we had planned to start delivering the Nokia N8s to our pre-order customers by the end of September. To ensure a great user experience, we have decided to hold the shipments for a few weeks to do some final amends. We're thrilled with the response that we've had to the Nokia N8 and assure everyone who've pre-ordered it already that it'll be worth the wait! We expect consumers to get their Nokia N8s during October."

Facebook has been available on cellphones for a while, but we still haven't seen a phone that is entirely optimised for Facebook yet. According to the latest rumors, that might change because Facebook could be working on its own phone, how will it be welcomed by its 500 million users?

Rumor has it that Facebook is secretly working on its own phone along with former iPhone app developer Joe Hewitt and Google's previous Chrome OS project leader Matthew Papakipos. This information hasn't been confirmed but I would agree that Facebook phone would be a blast if we see it someday. However, Facebook has declined the rumors saying that it isn't developing its own phone.

According to Facebook, its interest was always to develop apps and make phones more social with better Facebook support and not to develop phones. Only thing that Facebook is doing is the deep integration with some manufacturers, and whenever that happens people tend to think that a Facebook phone could be on its way.

A Facebook phone might be a great thing, but it looks like we're not going to see it. Some of you might be disappointed, but Facebook has declined all such rumors. With so many phones that already have support for Facebook and social websites you have to ask yourself, do you really need a Facebook phone?

""The atmospheric zombie shooter Aftermath went free for today only. We reviewed the game back in March and really loved the creepy mood the game offers.

The mood of the game really is perfect. The lighting effects, 3d engine and sound come together to give Aftermath a great feel. Your character is controlled by two thumb pads, but not in the traditional dual-stick format. Left is movement while the right one lets you turn left/right. Meanwhile, firing at zombies is automatic when you point at them with your flashlight. While this may sound awkward, it works quite well and makes the game feel a bit more realistic and frantic as you must be facing your opponents to fire at them.

There's a lot to like about this one, and we highly recommend picking it up for free today.
