News was that Toshiba was working hard on 3D TV and laptops that will display 3D without 3D glasses. We did not hear much from Toshiba or any other source since then but again it seems like related news has started to pour in. Toshiba seems to working on the unique idea of adjustable 3D display that will adjust itself as per the viewing angle of the viewer.
3D technology is still in its evolving stages with every organization trying something new or the other but none till now could come up with a solution for the narrow viewing angle that the viewer enjoys. A little movement and the display would look more than just 3D. Broken, in short!
Toshiba seems to have heard the prayers of 3D lovers and is working on the self adjusting display technology that can make life a lot easier than before for 3D world. Toshiba will be using a six-axis accelerometer in their 12.1 inches Internet tablet using which the company will tilt the viewing angle with the tilt in the tablet. This will let the 3D viewers look around 3D objects on the rest of the screen without distortions. This technology will use software algorithms instead of fancy hardware stuff that others have been trying to use.
