The Apple iPhone 4S was launched on both Aircel and Airtel in India today at a midnight launch ceremony. The Airtel launch was held at an upscale restaurant while Aircel decided to keep it real by holding the event at their South Extension market retail outlet. The launch events included handing over the handsets to the first pre-order customers.
You've already seen the plans on both the carriers. The iPhone 4S in India does not seem to have any specific tweaks made to Siri. Mapping via Siri did not work during our trials.
The Indian accent was also quite a hit or miss for the voice control service. The iPhone 4S has been priced at Rs 44,500 for the 16GB model.
