We've been following Infinity Blade (Previously known as Project Sword) for quite a while now. We first saw it at the September keynote where Epic Games revealed that they'd be bringing the Unreal Engine-powered fighter to the iOS platform. Almost immediately following, Epic Citadel [Free] was released. This free universal tech demo was by far the most impressive display of the graphical capabilities we've seen of iOS devices yet. Our community seems to agree, so much so that it almost seems to be a TouchArcade meme to proclaim that something should be more like Epic Citadel.

Today Epic revealed even more details on what Infinity Blade is going to be all about. A press release blasted out earlier reveals the following gameplay details:

Taking handheld gaming to new heights, the graphically intense "Infinity Blade" features adrenaline-fueled sword battles and epic boss fights set in the realm of a fully 3D castle. The game's robust single-player mode features an intuitive combat interface and simple touch controls which enable hardcore and casual gamers alike to engage in fun, furious battles. As play progresses, players gain experience, build stats and earn more powerful items to prepare their knight for the final encounter with the game's nemesis, the God-King.

Updates are going to be released for free, and it sounds like one of those updates will include the Game Center-powered multiplayer that we heard about at the keynote. Pricing and the official release date are both still pending.

We're following Infinity Blade closely and will provide any additional details we receive.

The latest to join a growing number of devices entering the Android tablet market at the moment is Creative. The company will look to take advantage of its experience in audio tech by packing the new tablets with X-Fi tech and the apt-X audio codec, promising a premium audio experience whether it is via headphones or wirelessly with Bluetooth, using compatible apt-X speakers.

Creative's ZiiO offers Android 2.1, without the Android Market, instead you'll have the ZiiStore, Creative's own application store. We've had no prior experience or knowledge of how this works or how much applications will be available. Though, the good news is that Creative is promising that the Android 2.2 update is coming, with Android Market support definitely coming with that upgrade.

The Creative ZiiO 7-inch model comes with an 800 x 480 pixel resolution display, the device measures in at 207.4 x 133 x 13.7mm and weighing 400g.Internally you'll get Creative's own processor, named the ZiiLabs ZMS-08. No word on how much RAM you'll get to back it up. In terms of connectivity, aside from that Bluetooth 2.1 with apt-X, you get Wi-Fi b/g, a 3.5mm jack and Mini-USB.

However, Creative is pitching this as a media device first and foremost, going up against the likes of Archos, and as such you'll find a good range of multimedia support, with wide audio and video compatibility (H.264, MPEG4, WMV9, MJPEG, MOV, AVI, MKV, MP3, AAC, WMA9, FLAC, OGG, ADPCM, MIDI, WAV, Audible).

Creative is also promising HD video out from the tablets to your TV, along with the likes of a 640 x 480 front-facing camera, a microSD card slot (supports up to 32GB). A mic and stereo speakers are also present and correct.

The 10-inch version offers a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution display, is again resistive, and offers all the above packed into a frame measuring 262 x 173 x 13.7mm and weighing 650g.

Creative is promising 10 hours of mixed use, 5 hours of video, or 25 hours of music playback from the battery.

Both tablets will be available mid-December and you will have the choice of 8 or 16GB models, costing 199.99 or 219.99 respectively for the 7-inchers, or 249.99 or 249.99 for the 10-inch version.

Released all the way back in December of 2008 (which seems like a million years in App Store time) was Adult Swim's Amateur Surgeon [$2.99 / Lite / HD]. With gameplay somewhat similar to the Trauma Center series of games for the Nintendo DS, players had to perform various demented surgeries on a series of equally ridiculous surgical subjects. In fact, for a real blast from the past, check out the forum thread where many forum members were amazed that Apple allowed a 17+ rating.

Amateur Surgeon's sequel, appropriately named Amateur Surgeon 2 has already been submitted to Apple and is due to be released any time now. Similar to the free Flash version of the game, Amateur Surgeon 2 for the iPhone puts you in control of Alan Probe. Taking place 51 years after the original, Alan Probe comes out of retirement to deal with 20 new surgeries of the future.

If you liked the original Amateur Surgeon game, you'll also enjoy the sequel. It's basically just more of the same with brand new silly patients, and a few new features such as the ability to use familiar pinching gestures for zooming in and out and a new syringe tool has been introduced that will help to revive patients that are close to death. In addition, the game comes packed with OpenFeint for leaderboards and achievements, allowing you to compete with other horrible doctors online.

As mentioned, Amateur Surgeon 2 has already been submitted, and barring any weird approval issues should be available soon. I had a lot of fun with the first game, if you're in the same boat, keep your eyes peeled for this sequel.

Most App Store gamers are no stranger to Halfbrick's Fruit Ninja [99/HD]. Over the last 6 months and 2.5 million sales since the game's initial release, Fruit Ninja has received some excellent updates in the form of new modes, unlockable items, and even online head-to-head multiplayer over Game Center. But one thing that has been grinding the gears of Fruit Ninja fans for months is a mysterious banana shaped icon on the game mode selection screen. Everyone wanted to know what exactly was this new "banana mode" that Halfbrick has been teasing us with? They weren't about to spill the beans though, and the curiosity in our forums reached astronomical levels.

Finally, today Halfbrick let the banana out of the bag and divulged what this mysterious new mode would entail. Dubbed Arcade Mode, you'll have 60 seconds to slice up fruit as per usual, but with the added bonus of 3 new special banana shaped bonuses fruit. One slows down time affording you more time to slice away at the fruit, a frenzy banana causes fruit to fly out at a much higher rate, and one doubles your score for a brief period of time. In addition, these bonus bananas can be activated on top of each other. So you may get a frenzy banana followed by a freeze, thus giving you a screen filled with fruit to slice and extra time to slice it. Couple that with the double points bonus and the potential for crazy high scores is through the roof.

At the end of your 60 second session your score is tallied up and bonus points can be awarded based on your performance. There will also be a brand new weekly high score board specifically for Arcade Mode scores. After so many great updates to Fruit Ninja, Arcade Mode is sounding like a lot of fun. Halfbrick has noted that the update will hit the iPhone and iPad versions of the game in early November, which basically can mean any day now, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled and grab this new Fruit Ninja update when it goes live.

We know that robots can do many things nowadays, this latest robot though takes the conversation with people to a whole new level. In the past, there were robots that could talk to humans, but the latest conversation robot called SCHEMA and is the first robot that can talk with multiple people at the same time. SCHEMA robot is the third generation conversational robot and Waseda University's Perceptual Computing Laboratory is developing it.

The unique thing about this robot is that it can listen to the conversation and join when asked a certain question that is based on a current topic. Another thing that makes this robot special is the ability to recognise new people that join the conversation and greet them by name. This robot can talk with the third person about the topic from the previous conversation or start a completely new conversation about some other topic.

Robotics is developing rapidly and SCHEMA is a great step towards communication between robots and humans, and we're positive that we'll see more robots like this in the future.
