The last time we gave away a massive amount of promo codes on our Facebook page it was a huge hit, but people had two main complaints: Codes were snatched almost instantly (Argh!! Lurkers!!) and we just did it with no warning. Since I aim to please, I think I've hatched a plan, nay, a scheme to distribute codes in a way that shouldn't necessarily reward those who are the fastest at copying and pasting. Also, I'm giving two hours of notice, which should be more than enough.

The Facebook promo code giveaway will start at 6:00 PM Pacific. That's 7:00 PM Mountain, 8:00 PM Central, and 9:00 PM Eastern. As of this posting, I've got over 200 codes, so it will probably run for a couple hours if it's anything like last time.

What games will we be giving away? Here's a list of some of the games I've got:

I'm sure I'll get some more codes in the next few hours before the giveaway too, so expect some surprise codes as well. If you're a developer and want to be included, send an email with some codes to tips@toucharcade.com. Make sure to include when the codes will expire as I might save some to give away later if we get too many for me to handle.

Head on over to our Facebook page NOW and hit "Like"! In order to not spam people's feeds who have already liked us, I'll be giving away codes in a slightly different way to not flood everyone's Facebook news. Set your clocks, mash your "Like" button, and STRAP IN FOR SOME FREE GAMES!

According to a BGR report, the upcoming Google Nexus 4G might actually be called Google Nexus Prime. The new Android flagship phone is expected to be released in Q4 of this year around Black Friday 2011 (Nov 25) time.

The Samsung built Google Nexus Prime would feature a large, vibrant Super AMOLED HD screen and run on OMAP4460 CPU. Its believed Google might work with more OEMs and carriers on the Nexus Prime to coordinate a massive onslought of the Nexus Prime this fall in time for the launch of Apple's next iPhone 5 (or perhaps just after the launch).

GameLab'sD.A.R.K. [99] is game with a conflicting sense of self. It's trying to simultaneously be a tense, science fiction horror game and a dual stick shooter with RPG elements. It's a difficult line to toe and in a lot of ways,D.A.R.K. is leading with the right foot, even if it flounders a bit here and there.

The game centers on a space marine who kind of looks like one of the marines fromStarcraft II, but with a mohawk, as he investigates the loss of contact with a ship called the USS Storm Bringer. As these things tend to go with science fiction narratives, he quickly learns that things aren't as they seem and he needs to blast his way through waves of zombies and robots to get to the ships black box to find out what happened.

If this is all sounding a little likeDead Space orAlien to you, you're right, but it's not necessarily a bad thing. It's a time honored sci-fi trope because it works. Unfortunately,D.A.R.K. never seems too sure what it's supposed to be doing, concentrating on the atmosphere in a slower-paced horror setting, or cranking up the action as a dual stick shooter. There are short moments spread throughout the hour long campaign that try to create a feeling of dread, but much of the game relies on standard shooter concepts where you enter a room, clear a room, go to the next room.

That's another thing too the game's description says, "Massive single-player campaign will have you playing for hours on end." That's simply not the case at the moment; the first episode included here will only take you around an hour to complete. Considering the game's low price it's not a big deal, but one might expect more content from the description. That said, starting a new game after finishing yields some different results, so it's worth rolling through twice. Judging by what's beingsaid in the forums, a second episode, universal support and an arena mode are coming in future updates, so there should be more content on the way, as well as (hopefully) a resolve for the cliffhanger ending of the first episode.

D.A.R.K. does try to mix things up with a few RPG elements to spice up the dual stick mayhem as well. While it's not deep, it does get things mostly right. Weapons are upgraded automatically depending on how much you use them and you have a small set of stats you can upgrade as your level progresses. There are only four different upgrade paths, health regeneration, hit points, speed and power. I'm not sure what else one could be added here, but it would have been nice to have a little more character customization.

The main difference you'll see inD.A.R.K. compared to a lot of dual stick shooters is that it is trying to tell its story and it's doing so by pushing you through a series of rooms and offering the sense of exploration. In between the arena-style battles are short exploration bits, simple puzzles sections and the occasional big narrative moment. This is whereD.A.R.K. is doing something new and it would be nice to see more of it in the second episode. The shooting bits are all well and fine, but there is a lot more opportunity for the exploration parts to really capture players and pull them into the story. The same goes for the audio design, which could use a little work, but considering the type of game it is, you'll likely have you'd hand covering the speaker when you're playing, so it might not be worth investing too much time in it.

The exploration pieces are certainly more geared to telling the story visually andD.A.R.K. can do so, even if it's not always pretty. The color palette is very much in the same realm as most science fiction and the style looks a lot likeStarcraft if it was set on a ship. The game is incredibly dark too, which I guess shouldn't really be surprising but don't plan on being able to play it outside either way.

I rather like the idea ofD.A.R.K. and with more content promised to be on the way, I have hopes it'll settle itself and decide exactly what type of game to be and how to do it. There is a lot of potential in the idea alone, so if GameLab can deliver the second episode and the arena mode before upping the price, they might have something truly interesting on their hands as long as they're not scared to make the puzzles a bit more challenging and the shooting parts a bit more sparse.

Developed by a French company called Withings, this app turns your iPhone into a blood pressure monitor with ease. In order to check your blood pressure with your iPhone, all that you have to do is to download an app for it from App Store. Of course, you'll need a special cuff that you plug into your iPhone so you can check your blood pressure. After every blood pressure check, your stats are saved, and they can be checked at all times for comparison, or mailed to your doctor or sent to sites such as Google Heart and Microsoft HealthVault.

This app is free for download from App Store, but the cuff costs $129.99, which is alot of cash for a little gain in tech-savvy convenience.

Back when Chaos Rings O [$11.99 / HD] first launched, Square Enix revealed a surprising schedule of updates to continually up the level cap, add more bosses, and even more loot to collect. These updates should keep rolling out over the course of the year, with level caps and bosses being released all the way through December.

When we reviewed the game, we really thought that Chaos Rings O was just more of the same for die-hard fans of the Chaos Rings series that wanted more. These updates don't change that, but it's still great to see a company like Square Enix providing so much post-launch support.

If you've juiced O for all its worth and have been sitting at the level cap waiting for more to do in the game, download this update as soon as you can.

We recently told you that HTC will be launching HTC EVO 3D which is their first ever 3D device in UK but did we tell you who will be carrying it in UK? Vodafone UK posted a video on their YouTube channel that Gingerbread-powered EVO 3D will be hitting Vodafone UK soon. Vodafone UK is one of the largest mobile networks in UK and they are already carrying a lot of amazing device likeSensation and Galaxy S II and now they are planning to add HTC's first ever 3D device. Pocket-Lint is claiming that Vodafone will not be launching the LG Optimus 3D, we don't know the reason but at least Vodafone is bringing a 3D device from HTC.

HTC EVO 3D features a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor, 4.3 inch 3D qHD display with 540 x 960 pixels resolution, Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) Operating System with HTC Sense 3.0, 5 megapixel dual cameras, 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera for video chat, 2D video recording at 1080p and 3D video recording at 720p. HTC told us that it will be launched in July; it seems that Vodafone will also launch it in July and about the price, my guess is that they will offer it for free on contract and you can expect monthly payments around30.

So anyone picking one from Vodafone? Check out the video after the break.

Got a case of the Mondays? Well I've got the cure, right here: Death Rally [Free]. We gave the game five stars in our review, and I'd go as far as to say that Death Rally is easily among the best top-down racers available on the App Store if not the best. Seriously, don't miss it. I'll do some more convincing after you watch the trailer:

Death Rally has tons of things to unlock, tons of Game Center achievements to earn, and a constant stream of updates has kept this game remarkably fresh. There's even talks of a multiplayer mode on the way, so if nothing else, snag Death Rally to be ready for that.

After one of Capcom Mobile's studios ripped off Splosion Man earlier this year, a disappointed Twisted Pixel did the digital equivalent of thinking aloud and floated the idea that it'd like to do its own App Store title. We've since received confirmation that it is.

In our most recent BONUS cast, we spoke with Twisted Pixel CEO Michael Wilford about his studio, Ms. Splosion Man, and The Gunstringer. We also grilled him on the App Store 'controversy' and his thoughts on the App Store. This latter section is where he revealed that the studio is going to soon start testing out the waters with its own iOS game.

From the conversation:

"We've never done a mobile game before. I think a lot of our IPs would translate pretty well to mobile. I think there's a lot of fun stuff you can do with the character-driven IPs we've created. And the Capcom fiasco if you want to call it that lit a fire under our butts to give [iOS development] a try and see if we can make something there," Wilford told us.

"We're working on something. Nothing to announce yet. Hopefully, relatively soon we'll having something to share with you guys."

That's awesome news, right? You can catch the entire conversation in its stream-able form just below this lump of text. Alternatively, can skip these posts and catch it via a subscription to our channels on the iTunes and Zune music stores respectively.

Solar airplanes are not thing of the future anymore, but as you know, they aren't as fast as the standard airplanes that we use every day. Therefore EADS have proposed a new airplane called Zero Emission Hypersonic Transportation (ZEHST).

ZEHST might change the air traffic forever, mostly because it allows us to travel a lot faster than before. For example, you'll be able to travel from New York to London in just one hour, and that is amazingly fast compared to the fastest commercial planes today. This airplane will be able to achieve 3,125 mph, and the best thing about it is that it runs on biofuel made out of seaweed.

Sadly, ZEHST is just a concept for now, and it will take about 40 years before we see ZEHST in action. So far, we'll just have to rely on other types of eco-friendly aircrafts, such as solar airplanes.

Looking for a unique puzzle game to fill your hours? Take a look at Joining Hands [$2.99] by 10tons, creators of Grim Joggers [$1.99] and Azkend [$2.99]. It tells of the Whispering Wood, a place filled with boogeymen to frighten the little Peablins, Gloobins and Brufflins that inhabit it. To make it through safely, they all need to hold hands.

In each of Joining Hands' levels, you're faced with a hex grid and several of these cute little creatures. The trick is to arrange them so that no hand is left unheld. Creatures are happy when their hands are held, and unhappy with they have a free hand. When everyone's happy, the level is complete. This is easy to do when you're just dealing with Peablinsthose little green guys will hold hands with anyone. But then they start sprouting extra limbs, and soon you're trying to link up one guy with 4 arms, another with 3, and a few other friends. It gets a little messy.

The levels have a few tricks to mix things up as well. Some hexes are blocked by stones. Others have stars, which can be claimed by covering them and completing the level. Hearts (or "Comfort Zones") add another twist: any creature on a heart will be happy even if his hands are empty.

There are six types of creatures, including Peablins. Brufflins have inflexible arms, so they need to be positioned carefully. Poeglins need their personal space, so don't put them next to anyone else. Grimmlins can't be movedtheir armor is too heavy. Whisprins are always happy, but they frighten anyone next to them. And Gloobins, who were added in a recent update, can only hold tentacles with each other.

Joining Hands has a simple set of controls: drag to move the little guys around, and tap to rotate the Brufflins. There aren't any time limits or move restrictions, so you're free to experiment and work your way through each level with trial and error if needed. This makes the game feel a little bit too easy early on, but don't even think about relaxing. Later levels are a serious challengehard enough that I occasionally found myself wishing for a level skip mechanic.

You won't find any achievements here, but Joining Hands has a huge amount of content to keep you occupied. There are currently 10 episodes covering over 150 levels. You can also compete on Game Center leaderboards for total collected stars, although that caps out with people who've mastered the whole game.

I'm a bit of a sucker for cute art styles, but Joining Hands marries its cute art and sound design with solid, original gameplay. Our forum users have been quite happy with it too. Puzzle fans should definitely check it out.
