ASUS recently launched ASUS EeePad Transformer, which is an amazing tablet and it's currently one of the hottest Android tablets available in the market. The main and amazing feature of the device is that it comes with a laptop dock and after attaching with it, the tablet is turned into a laptop. But it looks like ASUS has something really big up their sleeves. First they turned a tablet into a laptop, and now they are planning to turn a smartphone into a tablet. Our friends over at PocketNow got their hands on some shots of ASUS Padfone, and the idea behind the hardware design is just amazing. Have a look on the image:

In ASUS EeePad Transformer, the tablet merges with a laptop dock but in this one, the phone is merging with a tablet. The phone literally merged in the tablet when attached with dock, It's covered and hard to tell where are you actually hiding it. It seems that the tablet comes with a 10-Inch display, and the phone is around 4-inch. At the moment, we don't know about the specs and the software the phone will run on. Tomorrow is actually the day when ASUS will officially unveil it at Computex, but there is no restriction on making some guesses, right? EeePad Transformer is rocking on a dual-core Tegra 2 processor, so I am pretty sure that Padfone will also feature a dual-core processor, but it's possible that this time it's from Qualcomm, but lets wait for official release. We heard that ASUS is also working on a Tegra 3 a.k.a quad-core powered tablet, but I think it's too early for quad-core to come out. And about the software, I really don't know about it but what's coming in my mind is that the tablet will run on Honeycomb and the phone will be powered by Android 2.3 a.k.a Gingerbread, and what ASUS is actually offering is a set where you actually getting both in one bundle. Rumor has it that Garmin is the maker of the smartphone, so lets see. I think ASUS will also sell the tablet and phone separately.

Well friends, my guesses can go wrong, so don't forget to tell me about yours in the comment box below.

Earlier this month, Google held their annual developer's conference which is known as Google I/O. Google introduced a lot of good stuff there and we were impressed by their upcoming new good things. Google also announced that later this year, they will launch Android 2.4 a.k.a Ice Cream Sandwich, and Google is repeating it from last 2 years by introducing a new OS along with a new Google branded phone, and I am sure that they will repeat it again. Also Android Head Andy Rubin confirmed it that there will be a new Google Nexus device in future, which we heard from other sources will be the first one to run Ice Cream Sandwich and it will be out later this year. TechHog got their hands on first shot of Nexus 3 and their buddy sent him who works with Android Team at Google. Now the image is pulled from the source on a request, which gives us a hint that the pic isn't fake. It's an early prototype version, and as you can see there is not button on the front panel, but it's possible that it will feature disappearing capacitive buttons, and you may have seen these kinds of buttons on HTC Incredible S and HTC Flyer. It's a prototype so it's possible that final version will be completely different.

At the moment, no one know who is going to manufacture it, but rumor has it that it's either HTC or LG. HTC made the first ever Google device, it's possible that they will be doing it again. The device is said to be in testing with HSPA+ and Sprint Nextel CDMA network. As we know that both T-Mobile and Sprint are currently offering Nexus S in USA, so it seems they are also targeting the next Google device.

Well people, that's all we currently know about the upcoming Nexus device. I hope in near future, we will hear some more information about it. Personally, my money is on HTC and the one above feels like from HTC because the design looks like Desire HD . What do you think?
