As discussed before, it is not just the big players but also the regular camera making companies that have utilized Photokina 2010 pretty well to launch their unique products in between the world media. In a similar launch Seitz Phototechnik, a Swiss company, has announced a camera that looks weird but for sure has its unique advantages which helps it stand out of the crowd.
The Seitz D3 has the capability to generate 6�17 sized images of upto 160 million pixels in just about few seconds. The Swiss company confirms that Seitz D3 has high speed scanning sensor which is used to generate such huge images in no time. The camera also comes up with a digital touchscreen. The camera has been designed in such a fashion that it can be easily operated and handled in toughest conditions.
The Seitz D3 can be easily used with Rodenstock, Schneider or many other lenses of large format. To add to this the Seitz D3 sensor cassette can also be attached to other cameras. This provides the much wanted compatibility with other cameras.
The camera offers resolution of over 7500 megapixels and is priced at around 21,000 Euros.
