When the Countryman was first announced earlier this year, we felt the new Mini looked good but not as good as this new screaming WRC beast. The video below features the first tests in Portugal of Prodrive Team with the new "Mini Countryman WRC" driven by Markko Märtin and Ott Tänak.

While re-entering the WRC will no doubt be a huge method of promotion for Mini. Probably the question which now remains is whether or not Mini will be offerring some variant of the 'meat' found on the WRC version to the general public.
