Nowadays, some of us are trying to preserve energy and protect the environment that way. If you want to preserve energy as well, you might be interested in this latest power outlet concept.

Some of us are leaving our devices plugged in and running although we're not using them, and on that way we're wasting precious energy. However, if you want to stop wasting the electric energy, maybe you'll be interested in Ring Socket concept. As you can see, Ring Socket works as a standard outlet, but unlike the standard power outlet, Ring Socket has a built-in timer that you can set, and after the certain amount of time has passed the socket turns itself off. In order to set the timer on Ring Socket, you have to rotate the ring clockwise and set the timer that way. Of course, this ring works as a LED indicator so it changes colors and it's green on standby, yellow when it's in use, and red if the socket is overloaded.

Anyhow, Ring Socket looks impressive, but so far, it's only a concept, so we probably won't see it anytime soon.
