As you know, iPad made a huge success when it was released, and now we're more than happy to announce that Apple has revealed its successor, the iPad 2, soon to be available later this month worldwide in both black and white.

So what advantages will iPad2 have over its predecessor? First thing that you'll notice is that the iPad 2 is 33% thinner and 15% lighter than its predecessor. As for performance, iPad 2 will use a dual core Apple A5 processor so it's two times faster than the older model.

In addition, iPad 2 comes with front camera for FaceTime integration and rear camera for capturing 720p HD videos, its 9.7-inch LED-backlit glossy widescreen multitouch display will support up to 1024�768 pixel resolution. As for the battery, it should provide enough power for 10 hours of continuous use just like the first iPad but with so much new upgrade to its spec, its astonishing how Apple'e engineers have managed to do this.

As you can see, iPad 2 is a great improvement over the previous model, and as for the price and release date, we should mention that iPad 2 will become available from March 11th in the US and 25th if you're here in the UK, and starting price will be $499 for the basic 16GB model, we are yet to hear of its pricing for the UK.
