Google Docs is great online document editing software, and lately Google Docs has introduce some new features. Google has announced some new features for Google Docs, and one of those features is real time chat between users that are editing the document using the comments feature.

When you comment on a document, your picture and comment will appear on the sidebar along with a timestamp, and you can even use @ to direct your comments to the other users. In addition, if your co-workers are too busy to open the document and comment, they can get comments to email and reply directly via email without visiting Google Docs page. Of course, you can view all of your discussions simply by clicking the discussions button from the top menu.

Commenting is a welcomed little addition to the many features available simply free in Google Docs, we're expecting to see it soon in action.
