Available for $150, the Radeon HD 6790 is AMD's answer to NVIDIA's GTX460 and here are some of its specifications; 1024MB GDDR5 memory frequency, 840MHz GPU and 800 stream processors.
What AMD is trying to achieve is a more powerful device than the HD 5770 card but not so much as the HD 6850.
Predictably, its performance offers no threat to AMD's single-GPU flagship, but the 6790's 840MHz graphics and shader clock speeds plus 1GB of GDDR5 running at an effective 4.2GHz data rate don't seem like anything to sniff at either.
The new AMD Radeon HD 6790 is a recommended worthy conisderation as an excellent card for keen gamers that want to play in full 1080p high definition, but its also for home entertainment fans too.
