RIM has announced new Facebook app, optimized for Blackberry Playbook. This lets you chat with friends on Facebook, view news feed, post and view photos, send and receive Facebook messages and get notifications.

• There is a Navbar on the top to access the news feed, notifications and settings.
• Facebook chat shows active chat lists and conversions side by side.
• News feed lets you view, comment, like or post status and images easily.
• Post, view, tag and upload images to the picture library.
• Connect the Playbook to an HD TV and view photos and videos on in full 1080p HD.
• Send and receive Facebook messages, also view sent messages and messages from groups.
• View list of your friends in grid or list view, search friends and accept friends requests.

Other than these, usual Facebook features like viewing friend's profile, pages, Facebook search and notifications are also available.
