We managed to get hold of a IDEA 3G connection as the operator has silently rolled out 3G services in Chennai and Tamil Nadu. As you all might know , IDEA does not have a license in this circle and has inked a deal with Vodafone� to offer 3G services here. Our test device was the ultra fast HTC Flyer which supports HSPA networks upto 14.4 Mbps.� The moment we enabled 3G on the Flyer , we were latched on to the Vodafone network(After activation of course). We managed to clock over 4.5 Mbps in terms of download speeds and over 1Mbps in terms of upload speeds.� It is clearly Vodafone's network in action.
