Unusual but by no means awkward, these special blinds developed by Japan-based company Tokyo Blinds claims to be able to absorb sound. Known as Feltone, the blinds can absorb sound and push down power noise by up to 60%.

These latest tech, Feltone blinds look any ordinary blinds but can be used on windows or walls without any special modifications. Tokyo Blinds says installation takes about two hours, with their solution costing up to 90% less than soundproof panels.

Feltone blinds don't come at a very affordable price though (also only available in Japan right now) is a pretty luxurious item to have as a single 2 x 2 m blind can cost as much as $1,500 USD.
