Although Google can provide us with all sorts of useful information, it can also be used for finding illegal files as well, and this is one reason why Google decided to fight back against piracy.
So how will Google fight against piracy? Well, Google hasn't removed any of the controversial topics from its search index, but it has decided to make search for those illegal files a bit harder than before. In order to fight against piracy Google decided to remove all piracy related keywords such as BitTorrent, Rapidshare and other similar topics from its autocomplete feature. However, those keywords will still appear in autocomplete feature, but only if you type the whole phrase into the search bar.
This won't stop the piracy, but it will definitely make search of pirated material a slightly more difficult than before. However, it seems that the only way to fight against piracy is to censor the autocomplete feature.
