There are lots of exciting stuff that the developers are doing all day, especially when they are XDA developers (Windows and Android developers). They keep on tweaking things each day and try trying new versions on different prototypes. In this latest tweak / hack, they have worked out how to get Android Honeycomb OS 3.0 on to HTC HD2.

HTC HD2 runs Windows Mobile but the XDA developers have successfully ported the latest tablet dedicated Google Android Honeycomb OS onto the high-spec smartphone. Though it doesn't look perfect on the HD2 and moreover many features are lagging when it runs, it does run basic functions effectively.

It boots, touchscreen, LED and screen-off works, hardware buttons are properly mapped, it has graphics hardware acceleration, data should be working, browser works and so does SD mounting.
