Segways are quite popular nowadays, but they are also quite expensive, but that isn't stopping this hobbyists from making their own version of Segway.
If you're looking for a Segway alternative, hobbyist Marcelo Fornaso might have the right thing for you. Not only has he managed to make a cheaper Segway alternative, he also managed to improve the design of the original Segway by allowing users to turn the vehicle without leaning outside of the vehicle's frame. This new vehicle is called Tilto and it uses accelerometers and gyroscopes in order to go back and forth, and we have to notice that Marcelo Fornaso made some design changes as well. For example, there are no handlebars, so in order to turn left or right, users would have to tilt their bodies in a desired direction, so the turning system reminds to the ones that bicycles use.
Tilto sounds amazing, but I doubt we'll see this vehicle in mass production anytime soon.
