It's official, Google is losing battle against Facebook, at least in America. According to the latest news, it seems that Facebook outpaced Google in United States when it came to popularity.
The leading search engine isn't the most popular website in America anymore since Facebook outpaced it recently. According to stats published by Hitwise, the most popular social networking website holds 8.93% of all site visits in United States. On the other hand, Google holds "only" 7.19% of all page visits.
Of course, 7.19% of all page visits goes only to Google.com domain without any other Google's services such as Gmail, Google Maps and others. However if you add those other services that Google offers to the survey, the results are bit different, and according to the updated results, Google holds 9.85% of all visits in the United States.
As you can see, Facebook's popularity is growing, and maybe it's just a matter of time when will Facebook outpace Google once and for all?
